History

The 70-year history of Teva UK Limited has two consistent themes; our committed focus on generics, respiratory and hospital products; and a determination to grow - our abilities, our products and our service.

Previously known as APS Berk, the company's name and reputation stretch back to the 1930s selling a range of branded and unbranded generics which enabled us to become one of the UK's leading generics manufacturers. In 1996 APS Berk were acquired by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. In 2006 Teva acquired the Ivax Corporation, bringing a wider variety of products and new capabilities in respiratory care.

Teva is among the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world, and undoubtedly the biggest in generic products. All the advantages of speed, choice, quality and cost that Teva represents to our many customers across the UK led us to change our name in 2004 to Teva UK Limited, which has helped strengthen our position as the UK's leading generics manufacturer.
