Safety is our priority

Patient safety is our priority and all of Teva’s products pass thorough safety monitoring and evaluation processes at every stage of the product lifecycle. This continues all the way through our supply chain and continues throughout their use.

Patients’ trust in our products is of the utmost importance to us.

Safety

Safety for Teva covers patients, our products, our people and our business operations. It’s about the safety of our medicines and medical devices; it’s about the health and safety of our employees; and it’s about creating a safe working environment for everyone involved in making our products and, last but not least, it's about getting our products to patients that need them.

Safety for patients

It’s important to us that patients have absolute confidence in the safety of our products. Like all pharmaceutical companies, we control the safety of our products through our Pharmacovigilance team, also known as the Drug Safety team. Teva's Pharmacovigilance unit is managed by safety professionals who are responsible for monitoring, identifying, analysing and reporting potential safety risks.

Once a medicine is released to patients, doctors, patients, healthcare professionals and other caregivers can report side effects and safety concerns. These can either be reported to Teva directly, or to the local authorities. Click here to report an adverse drug reaction.

We strongly encourage patients and caregivers to contact us or their doctor if they experience any side effect that might be related to one of our medicines.

Safety within Teva

From risk assessments and personal protective equipment, to office safety and workstation assessments; it’s all about protecting the safety of our employees whilst they are at work going about their daily duties.
