As overall sponsors of this year’s Expo, Teva is proud to be collaborating with NHS England and partners on a number of initiatives to further develop transformation and help patients live better days.
Sir Bruce Keogh, National Medical Director of NHS England, opened last year’s Expo by saying:
Expo is different to most healthcare conferences. This is by design. We want you to have fun, meet people and chew over ideas. But most importantly it only really works if you take an idea back to your organisation and implement it. So please join previous Expo-inspired pioneers who have used ideas gleaned here to make meaningful changes to their service or organisation.
That is exactly what we set out to do as we partnered with NHS England to deliver the popular Digital Health Zone, one of the most stimulating and innovative zones at last year’s Expo.
As well as experiencing some of the technologies of the present and the future, delegates were able to discuss, share and learn how digital technology can make healthcare more effective, affordable and better geared to the needs of patients. It was all about taking away real-world examples that should inspire them to implement digital advances in their own organisations.
One of the key conclusions from discussions on the Digital Health Zone is that ‘partnership is essential’ if we want to bring the benefits of digital technology to healthcare – because it involves collaboration, between healthcare providers, pharma, medtech, caregivers, patients, and regulators.
We believe that whole-system change and improvement will only happen if the NHS, local authorities and industry partners work together in partnership to accelerate the uptake of successful innovations across health and social care. The NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo provides an excellent forum to bring together those partners to explore potential opportunities.
Join us this year at Expo 2017 - we’re partnering with NHS England once again to bring you the Digital Health Zone.
