Take control of psoriasis with Exorex®. Our range of treatments is formulated to work together to help you manage and treat your condition, feel better and live confidently.
Exorex® consists of a range of over-the-counter products for the management of psoriasis. The range is formulated to work together.
Exorex® Lotion (coal tar solution 5% v/w cutaneous emulsion) is the most important step in treating and managing psoriasis as it contains the active coal tar ingredient for the treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis. Apply Exorex® Lotion 2 or 3 times a day to those areas of the body affected by psoriasis. Do not be concerned if some of the lotion comes into contact with surrounding areas of unaffected skin. It is suitable for any age and can be diluted to suit individual requirements. Always read the package leaflet.
Treat your condition, feel better and live confidently
Coal tar has mild antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects, and relieves itching. It is also absorbed into the skin cells and is thought to inhibit DNA replication in these cells. This slows down cell division and stops the cells from multiplying excessively. In turn, this reduces thickening and scaling of the skin.
How should I prepare my skin?
Carefully cleanse the affected areas with non-irritant and fragrance-free Exorex® Hair & Body Shampoo, and then gently pat your skin dry.
How do I use Exorex® Lotion?
Apply Exorex® Lotion 2 or 3 times a day to those areas of the body affected by psoriasis. Do not be concerned if some of the lotion comes into contact with surrounding areas of unaffected skin. The right amount should dry on your skin in about 2 minutes. Once dry, apply a compatible moisturiser such as Exorex® Moisturising Cream to the same areas.
How long should I use Exorex® for?
Everyone is different. You may find the Exorex® Lotion is helping in just a few weeks, or it might take a bit longer. No two psoriasis sufferers are the same.
Exorex® Lotion is a licensed medicine for the treatment of psoriasis. Always read the package leaflet. Exorex® Moisturising Cream and Exorex® Hair and Body Shampoo are not licensed medicines.
