The Marketing Authorisation Number is a code beginning with the letters PL/PLGB/PA or EU followed by a series of numbers separated by one or more forward slash symbols

This can be found on the packaging near the manufacturer's address or under section 6 of the package leaflet provided with the medication.
The typical format is as follows: PL #####/####, PLGB #####/####, PA####/###/### or EU/#/##/####/###.
